At first glance, the house shown above is a stunning home that would be the perfect place for a family to reside in. However, it’s finding itself to be a bit of a hard sell, and it’s because it seems to be haunted.
The 10-bedroom, 6,661-sq-ft home is crafted in a Victorian style, and it’s currently on the market for an extremely low price of $329,000. Would you live in this creepy home? You might want to hear what’s happened to previous owners first…
The house should be a killer steal. It boasts 10 beds, 2.5 baths, 11-foot ceilings, marble fireplaces, and all-original windows, doorknobs, hinges, and floors. On the other hand, seven individual deaths have happened throughout the years, including one strangled prostitute.
People report that they have seen the figure of a busy servant girl, as well as a young boy who stares out the front window. Others have reported a woman as well.
It’s so haunted it’s become the subject of various documentaries and television shows, including Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, My Ghost Story, and 10 Most Haunted Places in New England.
The last owners of the home actually had no idea that the place was haunted when they purchased the home. They soon realized something was amiss, however, and they soon found that they could hear chants and whispers throughout the home. They also saw objects move places and experience strange, unpleasant smells.
Soon things began to get a little more sinister and intense. They started seeing shadows dart from room to room, banging on the doors, louder voices, and even some apparitions!
It truly is an absolutely stunning home, though, and for those that are looking for a place to live, it could be quite a steal! In the past, it has boasted the company of Norman Rockwell, Calvin Coolidge, Bette Davis, and P. T. Barnum, and its charm is truly exquisite!
