I used to work as a salesperson at a natural bath and beauty product store, so trust me when I say I’ve seen my fair share of strange bath products. You’d be amazed at how many people are clamoring to have bathtubs full of glitter, or jet black water, or even jelly.
However, I think I can officially say that I have now “seen it all,” in regards to frivolous and bizarre bath bombs — and I mean that in the worst possible way.
According to The Independent, KFC Japan has joined forces with Japanese beauty brand Village Vanguard to create a bath bomb which supposedly smells exactly like KFC’s infamous fried chicken.
Because why get clean when you could get extra crispy?
Apparently, there is a bit of a caveat, however: the fried chicken bath bombs are only available to Japan-based customers who enter a KFC Japan contest between November 1 – November 15. Only 100 of these spicy bath salts have been produced, so it looks like there are definitely going to be some adventurous bathers left out of the fun.
But hey, you never know. This unique idea could very well spark a chain of copycat beauty products, and you could very well get your hands on a fried chicken bath bomb before the year is out. (If the free market has anything to say about it.)
might quit my job and sell homemade KFC bath-bombs on Etsy

Bottom line: if you’re really itching to smell like the KFC’s 11 secret herbs and spices, I’m confident you’ll find a way to make it happen.
Personally, I think I’m going to leave my fried poultry out of my bathtub and stick to keeping it in … well, a paper tub.
