Gigi Datome is an Italian professional basketball player who had a brief stint in the NBA but is better known for his super cool hair and beard.

Now you can add another distinctive piece to Datome’s look — one that gained him a famous new friend.

In a recent game, Datome suffered a nasty forehead gash. Look at this thing.
