On November 21, 2017, the pop culture world exploded. No, we didn’t find out if Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner were actually pregnant. We found out something better:

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are expecting baby number two!

Both Teigen and Legend were very open and honest about their struggle to originally get pregnant. After going through IVF to have a successful pregnancy, Chrissy gave birth to the couple’s first daughter, Luna, in April of 2016. Luna is, of course, as adorable and beautiful as both her parents, so we cannot to see what is in store for this fun loving family in the new year!

As always, though, Chrissy introduced her pregnancy via social media, and what followed was a slew of hysterical tweets revolving around the world’s favorite couple and their bun in the oven.

YAAS!

There are couples that are in love, and then there are couples that are in love. Chrissy and John are in the latter group. These two are always hand-in-hand or making googly eyes at each other, and it’s been making fans of love jealous for years. So the fact that they’re producing in the world – well, it’s quite alright with us.

When asked what made their marriage work, Chrissy said “I’m with someone who is totally secure in himself. He’s not trying to be anything other than what he is. The confidence he has brings it to me. We’re by no means freaky-deaky, but let’s just say we’re open to things. We’re very okay with PDA. When we go to a restaurant, he loves when I wear a dress so he can do some upper-thigh rubbing. I would love to see more husbands and wives making out!”

Um, instead of popping out delicious cookbooks, Chrissy and John should be publishing relationship tip books instead.

Give Me Chrissy And John Or Give Me Death

There’s always drama and rumors in the world of Hollywood. Sometimes it can be tough to know what’s real and what’s fake. But the great thing about Chrissy and John is they’re so open and honest with their fans about their life. There’s no scandalous affairs, there would no hidden pregnancies — they’re just real.

After meeting in 2006 and marrying in 2013, fans and family members were practically freaking out about why the pair wasn’t popping out babies left and right. However, there were some fertility issues behind closed doors. However, once they got pregnant and baby Luna was born, John explained to Cosmopolitan how the whole experienced just strengthened their marriage.

“Having a baby is a big challenge for a couple, and going through that together strengthens your bond because if you make it through (having a child), you know you can make it through anything,”

CARE ABOUT ME

Do you hate it when your significant other doesn’t pay attention to your hobbies, wants, or needs? All we want is for our partners to care about what we’re doing and what makes us happy. Is that too much to ask? I “act” like I give a s*** about my husband’s dire bagel craving. But does he care that my favorite celebrity is having a second child with one of the most talented men alive? No. The answer is no. Like, he doesn’t even put on a fake interest face. He just continues staring at the TV, road, or wall as if he has no idea who Chrissy and John are. The audacity! Considering I laugh out loud at every Chrissy Teigen tweet, he definitely knows who she is and what she’s all about.

CARE ABOUT LIFE, PLZ!

Remember how in the last tweet, I discussed how we would kill for our significant other to actually care about things that we love? Okay, well in this situation, this lady’s mom actually gives a damn and it’s the sweets message I’ve ever seen. Not only did this mama spell Chrissy’s name wrong—which was adorable—but she sensed Chrissy’s pregnancy before Chrissy and John even announced it! It takes a true fan to think a star is pregnant; that would mean they know what the star looks like, so if they’re looking a little puffy, it’s easier to spot some differences. Ugh, what a lady. I hope Chrissy knows how much she and her unborn baby are loved already!

(I also wouldn’t mind some of this lady’s veggie spring rolls, BTW. Send them my way plz.)

Wait… Where Did That Bump Come From

Usually when stars are trying to hide their growing baby bumps, they stay out of the limelight. They don’t go out in public, they wear baggy clothing, they tend to look like anyone but themselves. But Chrissy? This gal has been out and about and only a handful of people picked up on it! Like, there’s no way that beautiful bump just popped out three days ago when Chrissy announced her pregnancy. That baby has been cooking for quite some time…. SO how the heck did she hide that thing! She made red carpet appearances, she’s been present on Snapchat, she’s been hanging out with her Hollywood friends — and she somehow managed to keep that bump a secret!

She’s more than a funny model — she’s a magician. 

I Knew Something Was Up

Kelly wasn’t the only one who suspected Chrissy was pregnant. Yes, Chrissy fooled a lot of people and kept that bump under wraps, but there are a select few who thought something was about to be revealed. I don’t think fans who Instagram-stalk Chrissy are cray-cray by any means, I just think we’re all a little obsessed with this hilarious beauty. 

Like our friends and family, when we love someone so much—and good things happen to them—we can’t help but express our joy. Well, even though most of us don’t personally know Chrissy, our excitement for that unborn baby is still alive and well.

Chrissy announced she was with child after filming Luna touching her belly. Chrissy asks her toddler “Luna, what’s in here?” And Luna immediately says “Baby!” in the cutest damn way you could possibly imagine.

What About Me?

I think a majority of us love our parents or guardians. What’s not to like? They raised us, kept us alive for 18 years, and probably force feed left overs down our throats every time we see them. Although we all have love for our parents, I think we can all agree on a couple we would kill to have parents for…Yeah, you guess it, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.

These two aren’t just beautiful people. They’re also loving, caring, real, and just seem fun to be around. I think it’s super beneficial to grow up in a positive and fun environment where everyone can be themselves. And I have no doubt that’s in the Teigen/Legend household.


When it comes to romance, this is what Chrissy had to say about John: “He’s such a romantic all the time, like, literally, we would just go up to the Berkshires or something and he would say, like, ‘Let’s ride bicycles to the lake’ or ‘Let’s go up to the rooftop and have a glass of wine.’” UM, if I had the chance to grow up with parents like this, count me in.

Please Never Leave Each Other

This is sad to admit, but typically when things are trending, it’s not because they’re good. It’s obvious that a whole lot of people are talking about it when something is trending, so when the world saw Chrissy and John were trending (without knowing about her groundbreaking news prior), they all assumed the worst.

Our minds immediately jump to “Oh s**t, what happened, are they breaking up?” But lo and behold the universe had good news this time around. They’re expecting a baby!

While most stars don’t seem to share their pregnancy journey (we tend to find out they’re pregnant, but not necessarily if it was hard work or not), Chrissy mentioned as early as October in an interview with InStyle about what a challenge IVF was. She explained that she and John started with 20 embryos, and that three of those embryos were normal. And while Luna was born successfully, it seems that another baby came before Luna but unfortunately didn’t make it.

I’M HERE

Listen, I know I don’t personally know Chrissy and John, but can I just say that they are that one Hollywood couple that everyone feels like they know? I bet those two hear that ALL the time, but it’s so hard to find real and authentic stars these days, you know?

So would every fan of the couple DIE to show up at that delivery room when Chrissy is having contractions? You better f**king believe it. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if fans in the area dressed up as nurses to help assist with the birth. (Okay that’s illegal AF and I do not recommend doing this.)

Is our obsession with this couple a little creepy? Yes. It actually is. I know more about this relationship than my parents’. But at least most of us know we’re being weird. We’re not hiding it or anything.

WAIT, Can We Send Them Gifts?

You know how stars show off all those high end gifts they’re sent through the mail from top end designers and celebrity pals? Not only do I get jealous that these stars get to keep or donate all those gifts, but I also get jealous of the people who send those goods. That’s because that means these gift-senders have some kind of connection that has their home address. That’s a pretty intimate connection if you ask me. It’s not like people wanna show up at Chrissy and John’s house (I mean, I think most people respect their privacy to an extent), they just want to send the couple gifts! Congratulatory gifts! Baby gifts! Cheese wheels! ANYTHING! When we love people, we want to shower them with gifts, right? Yeah, Chrissy and John are no exception. 

There’s A Difference

I don’t know why this is, but there’s a huge difference between someone we know getting pregnant and someone like Chrissy Teigen getting pregnant. I don’t know if it’s because we’ve followed Chrissy and John’s struggle to get pregnant or just because we like them better than our acquaintances, but it’s definitely more exciting that these two are reproducing than that random girl from high school. Plus, seeing a baby grow up in the spotlight seems so glamorous. The social media snaps are always funny and warming. Meanwhile, the social media snaps of our friends with kids are always TMI and just not a good look. Like I said, there’s a weird difference. If Sarah from high school uploaded a picture of her daughter potty training, I would roll my eyes and ask myself why she felt the need to post that. But if Chrissy Teigen posted it…I’d be retweeting it and liking it a hundred times. 

Who Needs Kids Anyway?

Honestly, I know it’s supposed to be a woman’s “duty” to have children, but that doesn’t mean that every woman has to have children. Whether they’re her own or adopted. Having and raising children is supposed to be one of the greatest moments in life, but guess what? So can not having kids. With no kids, you can travel the world, do things at your own pace, and never have to pay a damn babysitter. You won’t have to worry about school finances or whether they’re safe on the playground; you can just do your thing — whatever you want, whenever you want. Plus, if you do have an itch for kids but aren’t ready, you can always get an animal or just babysit someone’s kid, feed them a lot of sugar, and give them back…

We Are Not Worthy!

If there’s anyone that deserves love, happiness, and the birth of a new baby, it’s Chrissy and John. They are just the ultimate power couple, killing it in every way imaginable. When the couple was asked why their relationship works, unlike so many others in Hollywood, John said, “We support each other in everything that we do and I love seeing her succeed at the things she loves to do and she loves seeing me succeed at things that I love to do. That’s the way you should be with your partner.” Honestly, no one can disagree with him. Something that makes a couple last is communication, honesty, and support. And that seems to be what makes this couple so strong.

Again, please write a “how to survive marriage” book and we will forever be grateful. You know, when you’re not raising two babies and two crazy successful careers. Thanks.

Obviously a part of the reason why we’re so intrigued by this couple is their humor towards one another. They love to pick on each other in the most hilarious ways. When Chrissy announced that she was pregnant with baby number two through Luna, her Instagram caption said, “It’s Johns!” (As if people didn’t already guess that.) To add fuel to the hilarious fire, John even commented on the video, saying “Maury will have the final word on this.”

Like, enough is enough, can I just be added to their family group chat already? I’ve been waiting for 12 long a** years. I need to be included in this banter.

When I was growing up in the ’90s, I remember it was a big deal who the biggest fan of The Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, and The Spice Girls was. A kid couldn’t get by in life by saying they were the biggest fan of the Spice Girls without some kind of test to see if they were worthy. However, now that we all grew up and are now obsessed with other musicians and celebrities, I think it’s safe to say that we’re all Chrissy and John’s number one fans. There isn’t just one, but many. We all want to see them succeed and grow, and they’re on their way doing so while we go about our life. Just remind yourself to live your own life and do the things you want to do…. Chrissy, John, and their family are great and everything, but having our eyes glued to their Instagram accounts just isn’t healthy, mmmkay?
