They say that music is good for the soul. It is why parents sing lullabies to their children to calm them. Animals also enjoy music as much as humans do.
Lek, a caretaker, shows just what singing a lullaby can do.
Aya Mye and Mary are two orphaned baby elephants at the Winga Baw Myanmar elephant camp. The two orphans had lost their mother and had trouble sleeping without her. Lek is known for her sweet lullabies that put elephants to sleep.
Lek sings a sweet lullaby to the babies, and they’re soon fast asleep.
