Sickness has a tendency to turn even the most put-together people into helplessly needy children. In fact, I have a kid, and I can tell you that as a baby she has handled all 3 of her illnesses with much more composure than her parents.
For anyone who’s ever had to put up with their spouse being a total sad sack from the common cold, you deserve a medal. Alas, we can only give you something to laugh at, but we’re here for you in solidarity.
